RAINFOREST AFTERDARK

As the day draws to a close and the night begins to envelop it, a myriad of amazing and unique creatures begin to stir and come alive to start the night shift. Start from the base of Gunung Raya, drive-up to summit of the highest peak on the island. This drive-up takes us along a quite road that overlooks the rainforest canopy. Look out for animals like monkeys, squirrels, and birds such as hornbills, rollers, flowerpeckers and sunbirds. From Gunung Raya drive down to Lubuk Semilang to search for the enigmatic nocturnal animals that call this place home.

• Time: 05.30pm to 07.30pm
• Duration: 1 hour driving and 1 hour walk/wildlife spotting (2 Hours)
• Attire: Long Sleeve T-shirts, Long Pants, sandals or sport shoes, mosquito repellent
• Numbers: Minimum 2 persons
• Child Age: 10 years old and above
• Fitness Level: Very easy
• Inclusive of: Transfer from the base to summit of Gunung Raya and to Lubuk Semilang, English-Speaking Nature Guide, Binoculars to use (we advise to bring your own), bottle water

Itinerary

• 5.30pm: Tour starts, drive up to the summit of Gunung Raya with stops along the way to spot wildlife
• 6.30pm: Start to drive down to the base of Gunung Raya and a short 5 min drive to Lubuk Semilang in search for Colugo
• 7.30pm: Tour end
