Initial Consultation and Assessment

  • Medical History: Begin with a thorough discussion of your medical history, lifestyle, and specific health concerns.
  • Diagnosis: Our practitioners use traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) diagnostic techniques, such as tongue and pulse examination, to assess your overall health and identify imbalances in your body’s energy flow (Qi).
  • Treatment Plan: Based on the assessment, a personalized treatment plan is developed, outlining the number of sessions recommended and the specific acupuncture points to be targeted.

Acupuncture Treatment

  • Needle Insertion: Fine, sterile needles are carefully inserted into specific acupuncture points on the body, corresponding to various organs, systems, and functions.
  • Needle Retention: The needles are typically left in place for 15 to 30 minutes. During this time, you are encouraged to relax and focus on deep breathing or meditative thoughts.
  • Needle Manipulation: Our practitioners may gently manipulate the needles, using techniques such as twirling or applying heat (moxibustion) to enhance the therapeutic effect.
  • Additional Therapies (if needed): Depending on your specific needs, sessions may include complementary therapies such as cupping, electro-acupuncture (using mild electrical currents), or herbal medicine.

Post-Treatment Care After the session, you will receive guidance on self-care practices, dietary recommendations, and lifestyle changes to support the treatment’s effectiveness. Prof. Dr. Samsudeen will advise you on what to expect after the session and how to maximize the benefits of the treatment.
